Parks & Recreation Department Events

The City of College Park Recreation Department operates many varied programs for youth, adults and senior citizens.  These programs range from athletic to enrichment to arts & crafts.  College Park includes a number of fine public parks and recreation facilities which can be reserved by calling (404) 669-3767.

ATA Taekwondo Karate

Join us for the next session of ATA Taekwondo Karate training.  These classes are each 45 minutes long, and held on Tuesdays & Saturdays, for 8-weeks.  Students learn self-control, respect, discipline, and confidence as they progress in their karate skill. Includes dance daycamp for ages 4-14, from 7am - 6pm. Instruction in ballet, jazz & baton twirling. Camp includes breakfast and lunch. Swimming three days a week. Each session will have one field trip, and each child will receive a field trip tee shirt. For more information call (404) 669-3773.

Ms. Joi Hall is offering students in grades K-12 assistance in a variety of subjects.  The Program Offers: Study Skills, Test Preparation, Remedial Tutoring, Enrichment Tutoring, and specific tutoring in the following subjects: Math, Science, Reading, Social Studies, Phonics, Spelling, Handwriting and English.  This program is designed for the needs of each child, based on learning style and academic strengths and weaknesses.  To schedule class time, contact Ms. Hall at (404)914-7521.


Weight Room Membership

Get into shape or build muscles at our fully-stocked weight and fitness room.  There are exercise bikes, tread mills, stair climbers, and a wide variety of weight training machines and free weights.  Memberships expire on December 31 if you are registered anytime between January and September.  The weight room is open to persons over 18 years of age.  Teens aged 15-18 can use the room but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Contact the Conley Center at (404) 669-3773 for more details.
